Loads of Love: Simple ‘Just Moved’ Card
After you move, you need to let people know where you landed. But when you’re moving (be it your home across town or your blog to, say, StampinCorner), you’ve got a lot going on.
How do you get the word out–without going out of your mind in the process?
Easy. Call on Loads of Love to keep it simple, but still get you there in style.
Remember all those long strips of neutral cardstock you’re saving to use ‘some day’? Well ‘some day’ is today.
Cut the strip approximately to length and French-cut one end for that nice inverted ‘v’ shape. Congratulations; you’ve just created faux ribbon, and decluttered your crafting space a bit too!
Stamp the truck on kraft cardstock (which kinda looks like packing paper, don’t you think?) To save time, you can skip the stamp-a-ma-jig and just eyeball the placement of the contents. If they’re a little high, well maybe the truck just hit a bump. . . .
Loads of Love includes a ‘him’ and ‘her’ driver image and a darling pooch trio, one of which may (with a little masking) look just like your precious pup. Unless you’re just making a few cards, DO NOT ADD THESE IMAGES! Murphy’s Law footnote #237 clearly states that, when you’re stamping and moving, it’s the last little touch that has ‘SNAFU’ written all over it.
Instead, tell folks you’re off-camera because you’re unlocking the door to your new home (which your faithful canine companion is eager to sniff).
Or that, in the excitement of arriving at the new family palace, you forgot to put the truck in park and you’re chasing it–just a wee bit off the card’s right margin–down your new (and bumpy) street.
That kind of stuff happens when you’re moving. . . .
